Last night I dreamt that my friend and I were driving to a 4th of July celebration on 395, a local highway near DC that goes into Virginia. I had tons of fireworks and refreshments in my bag, and then I looked up out the window and saw my friend Jeff standing on the side of the highway, so we picked him up, and went on our way. Some people are aware that they are in their dream when they are in it. I think that's amazing...being able to control your "dream self"? People who are able to do this describe being able to decide the course of their dreams...something I can't even comprehend as being possible.

I wanted to attend the O'Reilly P2P conference, but then I found out it would cost me an arm and a leg, and I only wanted to go to a couple of the workshops, plus I would need to miss school. What a sad turn of events. Meg Hourihan is speaking there too...Drat.
Found a fun new toy today that I wish I had invented. Right now you can select characters and backgrounds from only certain comic strips, but I'm sure this idea will expand to include many comic strips. Trying a multiple line post to see what it looks like in context. I need to e-mail that guy, phil ulrich, about how to do an open weblog with blogger. Thursday, October 25, 2001
